On November 13, 2009 the Tagis-talino contest, conducted by the Values Education Department, was held in Agusan National High School Campus at 1PM in the afternoon. The contest was attended by all the year levels and anyone who wishes to participate in the said contest because this is a contest which is open for everyone as long as they have a team which must be consisted of 3 students, no more, no less.
The first part was the reading of the mechanics and rules of the game, after, it moved to the game proper. There were all in all more than two-hundred students that participated in the game which made the campus quite crowded for everyone to occupy. So, the teachers decided to have two batches for the students to have enough space during the game process. The first batch consisted of the freshmen and sophomore years and the second batch consisted of the junior and senior years. Everyone had a taste of participating until the fifth question because the system of the flow of the questions changed from the original last year. Now, there are five questions, which are like chance questions, whether you are wrong or right, you are still part of the game. But when the sixth question was asked, everyone who made mistakes in it was told to leave the place. During the sixth question, there was no team from the section Darwin that was eliminated, but there were many from the other freshmen and sophomore sections. It was only on the eighth question that almost all the teams from section Darwin were eliminated leaving only one team to continue and also almost only one-fourth of the original number of teams remained for the challenge. This is because the microphone had a shattered voice and the surrounding was very noisy, leaving many of the teams hanging with unsure answers during the time to answer.
The winners from the first batch had another match with the winners of the second batch to identify which team was the smartest or “pinakatalino”. The game ended at almost three in the afternoon and the victorious winners were then awarded with their rightful awards which were garnered by their performance.
