First Mass in ANHS for the Year 2010

The mass for the month was sponsored by the Science Department, wherein it was attended by numerous religious students again. It started at 7:30 and ended at half past 8 in the morning.

The gospel for the mass was a reading from the 1st Letter of John where he mentioned the word “Love” 49 times and 32 times in the 3rd – 5th Chapter. The focal point of the mass was about love and its different definitions. The priest – Fr. Jigs Dusdus told us about the 3 kinds of love that was described by Pope Benedict XVI.
One was Eros – the love between man and woman, second was Filial – the love between parents and their children and third was Charity or Agape. It was said that the true meaning of love is when both people are thinking for what is good for the other and its true measures are tested whether both are willing to make sacrifices.

The mass is very important to the students not only because of God but also because of the lessons we learn to help us deal with life. At this age, it is advised that students should focus in their studies first to show their love for their parents.
